BEE costs hand Reunert a 48% earnings knock

ELECTRONICS company Reunert, which yesterday reported a 48% fall in headline earnings per share due to the one-off cost of a black economic empowerment deal, said it was well positioned to benefit from state infrastructure spending.

Reunert CE Gerrit Pretorius said the group's low-voltage and cable businesses were well entrenched as suppliers and electrical businesses had the products and capacity to meet increased demand.
