Higher interest rates may limit BEE deals

A slowdown in the number of black economic empowerment (BEE) deals concluded occurred in the listed property sector during the second half of last year as higher interest rates made funding these transactions more difficult

And now there is a question mark over whether the market will see any empowerment deals this year.
