ABVA Announces BEE Seminar: April 1st 2009

ABVA (the Association of BEE Verification Agencies) announces the date of its first annual BB-BEE Seminar on Wednesday April 1st 2009 at the Sandton Convention Centre. This full day informative and interactive seminar is directed to business owners and executives, as well as Procurement and Supply Chain Managers from large and small companies. The day will provide useful and practical information to business people who need to understand more about the importance and process of BEE Verification.

The day will include an update on the current context of the B-BBEE codes and BEE Verification from a policy point of view, with representation from SANAS (South African National Accreditation System) and the dti, while then moving on to specifics about the BEE Verification process.

Business owners will be provided with detailed explanations of the verification process and will be given an in-depth understanding of what to expect from the process.

In addition business owners and executives will provide personal case studies that will illuminate many of the relevant issues surrounding BEE verification such as:

-What does a rating mean and how is it measured?
