Accountants pursue own BEE charter
THE accounting profession is drawing up its own empowerment charter in a bid to swell the number of black chartered accountants in its ranks...
Although the profession has not come under direct pressure from government to transform, the development of a charter is important for the profession because many smaller accounting firms do lucrative work for parastatals and provincial government departments.
