Barloworld's BEE deal near kick-off

Barloworld is nearly ready to announce the details of its broad-based black economic empowerment (BEE) deal.

Clive Thomson, the chief executive of the listed distribution group, said yesterday that the deal was 99 percent complete apart from the signing of the agreements and ensuring that the trade and industry department was happy with the structure of the transaction.
