BBBEE progress at KWV
KWV has just received confirmation that its Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE) rating has improved to a Level 5 contributor - one of the highest in the liquor industry. This is good news for a company that has been putting serious effort into transformation and empowerment since its pioneering BBBEE ownership transaction in 2004.
KWV's BBBEE rating has been done by AQRate, an accredited BBBEE verification agency. KWV's previous rating (completed in 2007) confirmed the company as a Level 7 contributor.
