BEE firm acquires stake in crane supplier

Private equity and investment firm Sphere has acquired a 32,5% shareholding in mobile crane hire company Target Cranes, which represents a strategic investment for the new generation black economic-empowerment (BEE) company, reports Sphere.



Target is the largest mobile crane hire operator in the Western Cape region, and one of the largest operators in South Africa, and the investment falls in line with Sphere's strategy to acquire businesses with a solid track record and good exposure in high growth sectors of the economy, reports Sphere.
