BEE partners could be in luck

The general decline in share prices because of the global financial crisis is likely to benefit the new black economic empowerment (BEE) partners of cement and lime producer Pretoria Portland Cement (PPC).



John Gomersall, PPC's chief executive, confirmed this yesterday, saying that any money made out of the deal would go towards liquidating the debt of the company's BEE consortium as quickly as possible.
