BEE rules put us at risk - micro jewellers

White-owned micro jewellers have expressed outrage at a requirement to submit black economic empowerment (BEE) plans to the regulator, but the department of minerals and energy has said it is sympathetic to their plight.



While the department of trade and industry's codes are sympathetic towards small white-owned businesses in other sectors, jewellers must transform to get permits.
