Benefits far outweigh cost, effort, says newly listed coal BEE

Listing as a black economically empowered or broad based black economic-empowered company has value far outweighing the cost and effort of becoming so, South African Coal Mining Holdings operations manager Melanie Steyn tells Mining Weekly.

She says that a broad-based black economic empowerment (BBBEE) status is the pinnacle of empowerment, and coupled with effective management, will create value for a company and its stakeholders, suppliers and customers.
