Black business suspends Busa participation

JOHANNESBURG - Fourteen black business associations attending the Black Business Summit in Johannesburg resolved to suspend their participation in umbrella body Business Unity South Africa (Busa) with immediate effect, a move that a top black businessman said was centred on principle and not on personal issues.



Busa was formed towards the end of 2003 through the merger of the Black Business Council and Business South Africa. The resolution at the Black Business summit now means that the Black Business Council has been resuscitated.
