Black Diamonds aren't really making it

Most of black middle class unable to afford the lifestyle
A mere 300,000 of South Africa's 2.6 million Black Diamonds can afford the trappings of middle-class life. The average suburban home, family holidays and regular rounds of golf are out of reach of most.


A survey for the SA Institute of Race Relations (SAIRR) has found that the definition of "middle class" is too broad.
