BMF hits out at BEE policies
Black economic empowerment (BEE) came under fire yesterday from the Black Management Forum (BMF) for failing to benefit previously disadvantaged communities. The BMF said it had benefitted only a few, including some previously advantaged instead.
Addressing a media briefing at the 35th BMF annual convention, Thembakazi Mnyaka, BMF deputy president, said after almost 17 years since South Africa claimed democracy, poor people who were supposed to benefit from BEE were still suffering.
