Busa takes empowerment challenge to the bourse

In a bid to force companies that resist change to comply with black economic empowerment (BEE) policy, Business Unity SA (Busa) will ask the JSE to incorporate aspects of the empowerment codes of good practice into its listing requirements.


Busa's chief executive, Jerry Vilakazi, said this week that the organisation proposed that companies that wanted to list would have to be empowerment compliant.
