Food and wine pairing pleases
The necessity for the South African wine industry to grow its local market share has been on the table for a long time. A decade ago, before Generic Codes on the BBBEE were in existence, a BEE group including businessman Joe Chakela, with the help of Distell, purchased a wine farm and commenced the business of grape growing, wine making and selling the finished products.

Wines of South Africa's MEGA tasting, held at Earl's Court on the 8th and 9th October 2007, saw an increase in overall visitors of 83 per cent on the 2006 London generic tasting.
