Coal of Africa in BEE deal

Coal of Africa, the coal development company operating in South Africa, announced on Friday that an agreement has been reached on a 26 percent empowerment holding.

The company said this deal would ensure full compliance with South African legislative requirements for BEE Groups to hold at least a 26 percent equity interest in mining companies by 2014.
