Construction charter boosts SA steel construction industry
The Southern African Institute of Steel Construction (SAISC) states that the soon-to-be-implemented Construction Sector Charter (CSC) will be a boost to the local steel construction industry.
SAISC director for lobbying Kobus De Beer says that the most significant thing about the recently published State-utility Eskom's broad-based black economic-empowerment (BBBEE) procurement guidelines, is that it finally brings into alignment three important documents. These documents affect the way in which the construction industry deals with BBBEE issues.
