Court Upholds Allocation of Long-Term Fishing Rights

 A decision issued by the Cape High Court has upheld the Minister of Environmental Affairs and Tourism's allocation of the long-term fishing rights in the hake deep sea trawl sector of the fishing industry.

The Court dismissed with costs an application made by four fishing companies against the Minister and other parties challenging the validity of the process of allocation of these rights.
