Credit crunch to hit BEE funding and skills budgets
This year is going to be as tumultuous for the economy as expected. From a black economic empowerment (BEE) perspective, what are the key issues that need to be addressed this year?
The ANC election manifesto has already confirmed that the BEE legislation will not be changed but more emphasis will be put on the elements that affect employment, that is, the human capital element of BEE. What are the challenges that companies will face in implementing their BEE strategies in the ownership and human capital areas this year?
