Dti Minister urges small BEE companies to work hard
Small businesses must not "sit back and relax" thinking they will be successful by virtue of being classified as Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) companies, Minister of Trade and Industry Mandisi Mpahlwa said today...
"It is not BEE that will give us a class of successful entrepreneurs and small businesses. We had entrepreneurs who struggled, fell and rose before we could even introduce the [BEE] Codes of Good Practice. Those are the experiences that will give us a class of successful entrepreneurs," he told delegates at the Annual Small Business Summit in Cape Town.
