The BBBEE Codes are before parliament and should be gazetted soon and important new implications arise for the procurement fraternity that will drive purchasing strategy. This will help small business owners to implement BBBEE policies. A survey conducted by the Blaauwberg and West Coast Chamber of Trade and Industry on the subject of Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) amongst small business owners revealed a need for a more thorough understanding on this subject.
