About your presenters:
JAN MUNNIK is the Managing Director of EES-SIYAKHA. He facilitated the development of The EES Process and The EES Manual, which set an industry standard for the successful implementation of Employment Equity. Jan is regarded as one of the leading experts in EE Transformation in South Africa, and has delivered papers at numerous conferences on EE and BEE. He consults to a number of leading organisations and Government institutions. Jan also specialises in BEE and EE Strategy development through a facilitative process.
BERNIE VAN NIEKERK has advised and trained many leading organisations in a variety of industries on World Class Procurement, e-Procurement, eB2B, e-Logistics, Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Management and other leading concepts within the supply chain. He was responsible for creating South Africa’s first e-Procurement exchange. Bernie also served as the COO of an international e-Procurement service provider African Operations and oversaw the creation of seven e-Procurement service providers throughout the African Continent. At Ernst & Young Management consulting he created and managed the company’s Sourcing and Supplier Management consulting area.
RobertThorburn
is an analyst at National Empowerment Rating Agency (Pty) Ltd (NERA).His focus areas are Broad-based Black Economic Empowerment, corporate sustainability and business ethics. This includes BEE verification, supplier sustainability studies and strategy formulation. Robert has been involved in conducting, supervising and reporting on the assessment of more than 600 South African businesses.
