Family businesses have a role in advancing BEE

How does black economic empowerment (BEE) affect family businesses in South Africa? There are two aspects to this question: the impact on white families and the impact on black families.


This issue has been raised since the early days of broad-based BEE. Family businesses are a key contributor to the economy, especially in employing people.
