Faritec aims to bolster BEE credentials
Listed IT firm Faritec Holdings (FRT) is aiming to boost its black economic empowerment (BEE) status on different fronts including equity ownership and gender balance at top level, while also addressing the issue of employment equity, CEO Simon Tomlinson says. ..
Faritec deputy CEO Hamsukh Gajjar noted that a 35% stake was already owned by a BEE player while 38% of executive and management positions were held by black people of which 22% were black women. At the same time, the IT firm continued to participate in initiatives aimed at bridging the digital divide.
