Fuel sector to boost BEE procurement
GOVERNMENT and the liquid fuels industry have launched the South African Supplier Development Agency to increase procurement from black companies and comply with the provisions of the liquid fuels charter..
The fuels industry spends tens of billions of rand a year on goods and services — about three-quarters of that on crude oil from the Middle East and the rest on “soft” services procured locally.
