Futuregrowth funds for BEE chicken farmers

A facility for the growing of chickens opened in the Wolseley District in the Breede River Valley, with R30m of capital provided by Futuregrowth Asset Management. The new state-of-the-art facility, which uses Australian technology, opened at De Liefde Hoenders.

The initiative, which has a 30% BEE component, will empower employees and is set to be rolled out with further funding to aspiring chicken farmers, leading to job creation in the Western Cape.
