The Black Business Executive Circle (BBEC) has commissioned Loyiso Mbabane, of the Economic Justice Agency, to compile a report on the implementation of black economic empowerment. The study will cover the seven pillars of BEE: ownership, management and control, skills development, procurement, enterprise development, employment equity and social responsibility...
BBEC chairperson Peter Vundla says: "BEE has become an emotional issue. This will be an empirical study with raw data on the state of BEE. It will interrogate what some have called self-enrichment and the demonisation of BEE."
