'Invest in primary school reading'

Johannesburg - Businesses need to invest more in primary school literacy to give children a solid reading foundation from an early age, the Molteno Institute for Language and Literacy said on Monday.



"Much of the businesses corporate social investment arms are focusing on the upper ends of the education system, namely high school, in particular matric, and tertiary education and training," the institute's CEO Masennya Dikotla said in a statement.
