Is there a new ANC party?
Tensions between former defence minister Mosiuoa Lekota and ANC alliance leaders have burst into the public domain, fuelling speculation that a split in the ANC and the creation of a breakaway party are imminent.
An open letter to the ANC by Lekota and the reaction by Transport Minister Jeff Radebe on be-half of the National Executive Committee is the latest skirmish to threaten the party's stability.
