Korean energy companies ready to meet SA's localisation, skills requirements

Korean energy and transmission companies aim to transfer skills to South Africa and to boost local companies by using locali- sation programmes, says Korean electrical constructions company LPJ SA Engineering & Construction marketing manager Danny Lee.



Korean companies understand the localisation and local company development imperatives of South Africa's government because Korea had similar policies 20 to 30 years ago, when it began to develop with the help of developed countries, says Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency deputy director-general Choong-Sik Jang.
