Local steel company concludes R270-million BEE deal

Local steel company VR Laser Services has concluded a R270-million black economic empowerment (BEE) deal with Shosholoza Steel Supplies CEO Benny Jiyane, who will now have a 30% shareholding in the company.

VR Laser Services is owned jointly by MD Gary Bloxham and VR Steel, a manufacturer of steel products for the mining industry.
