Long-awaited Vodacom BEE deal to be implemented in fourth quarter

Cellular services provider Vodacom on Monday said that its black economic-empowerment deal, which has been delayed several times, would be implemented in the fourth quarter of 2008.

CEO Alan Knott-Craig said that the deal was well on track and that the company would announce the full details of the transaction in the third quarter of this year.
