Major shift with release of new BEE codes

COMPANIES with black partners and who meet Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) targets will be able to compete on near equal footing with wholly-owned black companies when it comes to doing business with government, if the release of the Department of Trade and Industry's (DTI) new BEE Codes of Good Practice in December 2004 are anything to go by.
