Manto relaxes health charter targets
The new targets are more in line with those outlined in the department of trade and industry’s (DTI’s) codes of good practice for broad-based black economic empowerment, with the percentages in the first draft of the health charter exceeding those set in the codes and other sectoral charters...
The DTI’s codes require 40% of staff to be black, and 20% female. On the procurement side, 50% of goods should be bought from black-owned firms, while the ownership target is 25% plus one share
