Manuel to restore trust in Land Bank

But turnaround strategy is up to the new chief executive
Finance minister Trevor Manuel has told the board of the Land Bank he would not meddle in their functions but would cultivate a relationship of trust with them.

Manuel was appointed to oversee the bank in place of agriculture and land affairs minister Lulu Xingwana, who was axed from its business affairs after she allegedly interfered in operations, causing the bank to enter into a risky loan deal.
