Manyi spurns talk of BEE cutoff date

Johannesburg - Jimmy Manyi, the president of the Black Management Forum (BMF), yesterday rejected talk that the legislative framework for black economic empowerment (BEE) should have a cutoff date, saying this could happen only when most of the economy was in black hands.



"We should first look at whether the objectives of the BEE legislation have been achieved," Manyi said.
