Massive farming project to bring 600 jobs

THE Blue Crane Development Agency has launched a commercial agriculture project to plant about 200000 pomegranate trees on at least 280 hectares in the Somerset East area.



The first batch of 200000 trees will yield fruit in three years, with a projected income of about R40-million per season, which is expected to increase with the planting of more trees.
