Massmart Holdings Limited - Black Economic Empowerment Transaction
Africa's third largest distributor of consumer goods, Massmart today announced a Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) transaction designed to empower the group's workforce....
Massmart will issue new shares equivalent to approximately 10% of the company's issued share capital to three trusts representing approximately 14 500 members of Massmart's permanent general staff, previously disadvantaged managers and non-executive directors in South Africa.
