Meaningful BEE scorecard now a question of survival - survey
The black econnomic-empowerment (BEE) honeymoon period is over and organisations need to urgently realise that a meaningful scorecard rating is set to become one of the main factors that will ensure the growth and survival of businesses going forward, the results of the third annual KPMG BEE survey indicated.
"Organisations focused much of their time and energy on the 'BEE wedding,' which ensured the codes and scorecard measurement set out by the Department of Trade and Industry were fair and amenable. However, these companies have forgotten to make the18 months marriage work and many organisations have been left behind," says KPMG BEE services director Sandile Hlophe.
