National BEE database under development
The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) is in the pro-cess of establishing a black economic-empowerment (BEE) national database, where the BEE scores of every company in the country will be available...
This emerged at a seminar hosted by the Road Freight Association in Midrand earlier this month. William Janisch, a director of BEE consultancy and corporate- finance firm Empowerment Ser-vices said the objective was to ensure that companies’ BEE levels could be easily accessed and become public-domain information.
