New mining operation reaches full production in first quarter 2008

Two Rivers Platinum joint venture (JV) between platinum-mining company Impala Platinum (Implats) and diversified mining group African Rainbow Minerals (Arm), has achieved its initial targets for 2008 by reaching full production in the first quarter of this year, Arm new business development executive director Stompie Shiels tells Mining Weekly.

"We have achieved the target and have also built up a small ore stockpile," he says.
