No easy ride for BEE mine deals -- report
THE second wave of black empowerment deals in the mining sector would be considerably more difficult to negotiate than the first, Ernst & Young partner Lance Tomlinson said yesterday.
Under the Minerals and Petroleum Resources Development Act of 2004 and the accompanying mining charter, mining companies have to secure 15% black ownership by next month and 26% by 2014.
