ACTowers in BEE deal with Tiso

Newly formed Tiso Telecom, a subsidiary of black economic-empowerment (BEE) investment group Tiso, would become a 25,1% shareholder in African Cellular Towers (ACTowers), for between R115-million and R138-million.

The partnership with a suitable strategic BEE company would ensure compliance with the Department of Trade and Industry's codes, would allow ACTowers to realise the potential of its power lines division and be in a position to participate in larger contracts from Eskom and other organisations.
