BEE deal will help keep retailers loyal to SAB

With Heineken making significant inroads into the all-important township market, analysts said yesterday that SA Breweries (SAB) was under pressure to provide a significant incentive to secure the support of the country's extensive network of retailers.

Yesterday, SAB, whose share of the domestic beer market has recently dipped below 90 percent, provided more details about the extremely generous R7.3 billion "incentive" that it will roll out early next year.
