Sasol unveils BEE coal venture

Johannesburg - Synthetic fuel and chemicals group Sasol Ltd (SOL) on Thursday unveiled Igoda Coal, a R1.4bn company that will be 65% owned by Sasol Mining and 35% owned by Eyesizwe Coal, a black-controlled mining entity...

It said the deal means that Sasol Mining is now 8% owned by black interests, assisting Sasol to meet the terms of the Mining Charter which requires South African mining companies to increase black ownership.
