Phosa puts foot down on bailouts for business
Firms in the private sector that are struggling due to the economic slowdown should not be bailed out by the government, according to ANC treasurer-general Matthews Phosa.
Speaking at the University of KwaZulu-Natal's Graduate School of Business yesterday, Phosa said rescue packages were under debate, but he believed the government should help only public entities.
