Pretoria Portland Cement concerned by mooted energy hikes
Pretoria Portland Cement Company (PPC), the cement and lime producer, is concerned about the impact of the proposed hikes in electricity tariffs on cement prices.
Paul Stuiver, PPC's chief executive officer, said on Wednesday electricity only made up 5 percent of the total cost of its cement prices and they were concerned about the other 95 percent of the company's costs.
