Public losing faith in democratic institution

An alarming slump in public confidence in the country's leaders and representative institutions is a crisis striking at the root of South Africa's democracy.


An annual audit by the Institute for Justice and Reconciliation (IJR) has found that public confidence in key democratic institutions has declined across the board.
