SA still highly prospective, says DBCM chief

Diamond giant De Beers will bring on two new South African diamond projects worth R2,2-billion in the next two years as its strategic asset-disposal programme draws to a close, De Beers Consolidated Mines (DBCM) MD David Noko tells Mining Weekly.

Noko says that an integral part of DBCM's strategy is the "creation of space" for other South African diamond participants and their black economic-empowerment (BEE) partners.
