Sasol unveils R17,9bn BEE deal

SASOL, the world's top maker of oil from coal, unveiled the biggest affirmative action deal yet in SA as it posted a 10% rise in annual headline earnings per share...



Sasol, which under its previous management attracted sharp criticism from the government for dragging its feet on black economic empowerment (BEE), said today it will sell a stake to black investors, staff and the public. The group said it will sell a 10% stake to blacks for a total of R17,9bn under the BEE programme.
